Kompol Suryono Kasubdit I Tipid Indagsi Dirreskrimsus Polda Jatim mengatakan, ada satu tersangka berinisial M yang diamankan polisi.
Tersangka menjalankan bisnisnya ini sejak 2017 dan produknya beredar luas di seluruh wilayah Jatim.
Produk skin care ini, kata dia, terbilang laris manis. Sebab dari penjualan itu, pelaku bisa meraup keuntungan hingga Rp1,6 miliar untuk per bulannya.
Pelaku menjual produknya lewat online atau media sosial, dan memanfaatkan katalog atau sistem reseller.
“Saat ini tersangka masih dalam proses penyidikan dan pemeriksaan. Untuk perusahaannya tidak terdaftar alias ilegal juga,” kata Suryono, Kamis (24/10/2019).
Sementara itu, Siti Amanah Kepala Seksi Inspeksi BPOM Surabaya mengatakan, produk ini sudah dipastikan berbahaya. Kandungan dalam produk ilegal ini masuk ke dalam daftar public warning.

Pelaku terancam dijerat pasal berlapis. Di antaranya pasal 196 UU Nomor 36 tahun 2009 tentang kesehatan, dengan ancaman pidana penjara paling lama 10 tahun dan denda paling banyak Rp1 miliar.
Kemudian, Pasal 197 UU Nomor 36 Tahun 2009 tentang kesehatan, dengan ancaman pidana paling lama 15 tahun dan denda paling banyak Rp1,5 miliar.
